This is the tip that saves people a long walk across a very large terminal. DEN is split into east and west sides, and you do not need to cross between them.
Whichever side your baggage carousel is on is the side you should use. Grab your bags, walk out of the nearest doors, and use the island on that side. Your app will normally confirm a side and a door number, and the doors are numbered in the 500s on this level so they are easy to match.
Drop-offs are on a different level entirely
Departing, you go to Level 6, one floor up, which puts you directly at the check in counters and the security checkpoints. Arrivals and departures are stacked rather than side by side at DEN, so it is worth telling your driver which you need if there is any ambiguity.

Knowing the layout helps if plans change. Taxis queue at Island 1, separately from the rideshare islands. Shared ride shuttles operate from Island 5 as well, outside doors 505 to 507 on the east and 510 to 512 on the west. Rental car shuttles run from Island 4.
